Synonyms

Hellinsia balanotes is a species of moth of the Pterophoridae family. It is endemic to the southern United States and northern Mexico, but has been introduced to Australia.

The wingspan is about 30 mm.

The larvae feed on Baccharis halimifolia, Baccharis salicina, Baccharis neglecta and Baccharis angustifolia. [1]
