- 1336 BC—Pharaoh Akhenaten of Egypt names Smenkhkare as a co-ruler.
- 1336 BC—Tutankhaten becomes Pharaoh of Egypt and marries Ankhesenpaaten, daughter and wife of his predecessor Akhenaten.
